Help Please

    Hi There, I am new here....
    My Dad has this lovely plant that came as a 'surprise' with
    another plant he had purchased. It has grown large and we have
    no idea what it is.
    If anyone can identify this plant, we would be most appreciative.

    I am not an expert at plant ID but when I saw your photo I thought it looked like a shoo-fly plant. Have never seen a real one in the garden, just know it from catalogs. Check out this link to a photo and description of Nicandra physalodes to see how it compares to your surprise plant. It's a nice plant. Beautiful foliage and nice little flowers. If my ID is correct note that the plant is poisonous.
