Dear all, I’m new to your forum and to grapes growing. I received 2 small branches of a grapevine. I planted them. They grown roots and started to give leafs. Now it’s almost 2 to 3 feet, but noticed that leafs tips for a branch is brown and smaller than the start ones. I’m afraid of loosing it. What’s the cause. I’m attaching some pictures.
I just joined today, but I’ve grown grapes for years. How are your grapes doing now? Some leaf tip browning may be from over-fertilizing. They should grow out of it. Naturally, cold and mineral deficiencies can cause these symptoms. At least one of them appears to be vinifera. I don’t know where your vines are located, but vinifera would be difficult to grow if your winters are below freezing. Good luck!
