Our laurel plant (what is called English Laurel) has holes, lots of them as well as it seems bites. Last year the garden centre recommended ammonia diluted in water and some pellets but they did not work. The plant does not have snails. I am attaching a photo of how the leaves look. Nobody seems to know what is wrong with the shrubs. I hope you help me with this problem. I think I am in the right hands by asking you. Thank you so much.

Thank you for your advice. It looks exactly like the link you sent. It might be better just to dig it out as it is all damaged, even the new leaves.
