We have a 30 year old Redwood around which we've recently done some ground work. The house was recently painted, and the ground around it was relaid with sand-set stones, along with some light landscaping and some irrigation for the landscaping was installed. The tree is now seeing a good amount of yellowing/oranging/falling leaves, and I'm concerned as to whether this is just normal for the season, or if it's possibly ailing from the recent work. I've been told a tree like this should be pretty resistant to some light work, but I just wanted to check on it in case something's wrong.

We're in the SF Bay Area, along the peninsula, nearer to the Bay side.

This doesn't look like normal behaviour to me, but I'm not an expert on this. Maybe someone else will be able to chime in?
