I recently recieved these two new plants. I do not know what the names of them are or how to take care of them. Could someone please help me out here. The one plant is like a root plant with jade like leafs. The stems fall or break off very easily, but when put in dirt or water, seem to thrive. The other one reminds me of a lily leaf, but have no clue what it is. Am enclosing pictures . Thank you Connie
The jade, when very happy, will have a more erect posture. It probably needs brighter light and maybe less water. In zone 9 a few miles inland (in other words, not toooo hot, and very few freezing mornings), it will survive outdoors in an understory that gets either light shade to afternoon sun. I know this does not describe Montana, but, you can safely put it near a window that gets bright light. The Peperomia might be happy in those conditions too. So move them, and water them once a week; if the leaves get "thinner" (loose some thickness) then they are loosing too much water so then give them some more. Think of them as a pet that needs water and sun instead of hay.
Thank you for the quick response. When Susan said "no hay" that was quite funny as I do own a horse!! Now I can hopefully give these plants the care they need. Connie
