A friend just gave me this indoor plant as a present, but she didn't know the name of it. Could you please help me? I'd love to take good care of it. Thanks.
Thanks Junglekeeper! I looked up what you had suggested and found "Codiaeum variegatum punctatum aureum". Not having been good in Biology through school, could I assume that "Gold Star Croton" is the more common name for the one I've found? Also, do you have any suggestions as to how I may best care for this plant? Thanks.
There are many variations or cultivars of Codiaeum. I am uncertain as to the official botanical name for each but it appears 'Gold Star' is Codiaeum variegatum var. pictum 'Gold Star'. Yes, Gold Star Croton would be the common name.Croton Production and Use
