I have had this plant for close to eight years. I have no clue what it is and the attached picture is not very good. It has a cluster of branches that grow kind of curvey and then the leaf bundles there are several leafs. Please help she is sick too! Once I identify her I will explain my problems. Thanks!

From what I can just make out in the photo it looks like Schefflera arboricola, Umbrella Tree.

    Perfect! That is exactly it!

I recently moved across town and she is dying. I repotted her in early May (after the move) and things seemed to be going good until Late June maybe early July. All the leaves have fallen off except for the ones at the end of the branches. New leaves are being produced too. There are no leaves at the bottom any longer though. Her new home is rather hot (90-95 degrees most days) as there is no AC. Maybe direct sunligt was hitting it at the new house. It also seems to be holding water too long. I haven't changed the watering habits, but I went in the other day and a white mold was growing on top of the dirt! The soils was still damp and I hadn't watered it for like two weeks. I removed the top layer of dirt and put some dry dirt to replace it. I also moved the plant to a different location. Do you think it is too late? Or have any suggestions on how to save her?

does the new container have drainage holes? if not, repot it again...they don't like to be in too moist a soil for too long. also, i think the temp may be too much combined with a sunnier spot. try moving it to a spot that gets bright, indirect light.
