I discovered this plant growing along the roadway today and wondered if anyone could help identify it. I have attached a couple of pics of the blossom and the leaf. I failed to get a pic of the whole bush.

It does grow in bush form and about 30" tall. Doesn't seem to have any smell.

    Any ideas?

Spiraea japonica. Popular item, many kinds with colored foliages on the market.

Does this plant normally grow wild? There are several of these and they are growing on the side of a hill on the side of a road that drops down to the lake. I am familiar with the spiraea but this one doesn't seem to be as woody.
