We have temporarily downsized and decided to buy a potted pine for our christmas tree. It was doing really well but recently the soft needles started to dry out and seems to be dying. I realized that it was possibly due to the fact that the outter pot did not allow it to drain so I have pulled it out of that pot and put it in our extra bath tub for the time being.
I am wondering if this will help it come back to life or if there is something I could be doing better to help it out. I am hoping to put it outside soon, at least for the weekend to see if that helps.
Any suggestions would be of great appreciation!

If Pinus pinea probably will not live outdoors there. Poke around in soil ball to see if wet or dry.
