I have a plant, coloquilly called "shamrock". The leaf color is dark purple, and, as the name would suggest, it looks like a shamrock. It may belong in the oxalis family but the leaves are square-cut on the ends, rather than rounded(heart shaped on the ends). Each leaf stem originates from a small corm, and the corms are stacked to form the stem. The inflorescens(flower) is a dark pink or pale purple. The 'three leaf' stems are each about eight inches tall and the flower is five petalled and bell shaped and also on a stem about eight inches tall. Is this sucker an Oxalis? The corms make me think 'lily family'. I believe the O. violacea has green leaves with the purple flower.
