I want to plant a narrow hedge (not cedar) along my driveway for privacy from my neighbors house. The area is about 3'x40'. It gets morning shade and afternoon sun. I prefer dark green foliage. I can't have it over 6' so if I have to prune/trim I can do that. Any suggestions please? I'm thinking about something columnar? berries? or maybe boxwoods? I just want it to look clean and neat. My setting is a formal design. I hope this information helps. Thanks again everyone.
Box and Japanese holly are both available in columnar forms. Yew, holly and box are the traditional clipped hedges, slow to develop but long-lived and forming a crisp outline when sheared.
Thanks... I will go and check them all out and decide which one I like the best. I always appreciate your help. Once again, I appreciate your help Ron!
