Help me identifying these plants

    I took these photos in St.Stephen's Green, Dublin.
    This is the first pic and this is the second one.

    My guess is Echium wildpretii after the flowering has finished and the seeds are developing.

    Thanks for the answer. I think you guessed the genus, but I'm still uncertain about the species. E. wildpretii or E. pininana? What's your opinion about this?
