Help me identify this plant.

    I have recently moved and while cleaning out the flower bed that were full of straw (I think they used this instead of mulch) I uncovered something and can't identify it. The pictures aren't the best but any help would be great. They are Blue/Grey in color and dusty looking but not fuzzy. They look like fingers coming out the the ground.
