I received this plant as a gift last year and have been trying to identify it since then! It is a deep purple colored tri-leaf plant. It closes up each night. Any ideas?

Really like the juxtaposition of the purple/pink leaves and the blue pot. ---I have had a green-leaved, white-flowered oxalis for many years. (Rescued from work.) It lives in a hanging pot, on the patio in summer and in my little plant room under fluorescent lights in winter. Good plant!

When your O. triangularis blooms (and it will,) it should have purple flowers. They're very hard houseplants to kill, so don't worry too much about it.

I grow edible-tubered oxalis (O. tuberosum) for cooking.
