I have had this tree for about 10 yrs. For 6 yrs it was in a large pot on the patio but in the past 4 yrs I have planted it in the yard, I live in southern Florida. During a recent cold snap all of the tree heads or tops of the branches died and the leaves fell off. Now the branches are getting soft. How do I prune this tree. Can it be saved.
Please help. I am attaching a picture for your review.

Will only come back if base is still alive and able to sprout new shoots. No point in hanging onto dead mushy parts.
