    Hello,

I have had this indoor plant for over 10years, and every year it appears to shed it's leaves and grows back again. It also appears to "spit" or drop some sticky stuff onto the floor. Any help would be appreciated to know if I am caring for it properly.

    Thanks

Looks like Radermachera sinica, China Doll. The sticky substance is likely honeydew that is excreted by a sap sucking pest such as scale or aphid. Insecticidal soap can be used to deal with those pests.
