Help me identify a non-flowering plant

    These plants crop up in the early spring and they seem to sprout from a bulb or rhizome. Although the foliage is nice and dense, they don't seem to flower. I'm in zone 5b.

    Can someone help me identify this plant using the photos below?

    No odor. Those photos don't provide much scale, the plants are about 24 inches tall right now.
