I found a caterpillar in New Westminster by my child's school. I took it home to keep to educate my child as I haven't seen a caterpillar in quite awhile. I am trying to identify it as it does not look like a common tent caterpillar. Can anyone help? I have put several different types of leaves in its environment and it seems to feed on the oak leaves. I have attached a photo.

With those tufts maybe some kind of tussock moth. But there are a lot of different species of insects.
