My orange tree broke in half while transporting it from Moms house. It's approx 30" tall and it broke about 8" up from the container. I reattached it using some safety wire above and below the break, and also wrapped a couple of rags around the wound, then poured some B-1 on it. The exact same thing happened a few years ago on one of my rose trees and did the same exact thing and its been fairing well. I was wondering if anyone has some better advise as far as what to do to ensure its survivorability if possible.

If the break is above the graft, your tree will grow back if it does not repair the break. If it is below the graft you may want to cut some budwood and save it in the fridge in a plastic bag. I tried to repair a broken limb last yr, but it still died. I could tell it was not going to make it and grafted a piece. The grafted piece took, but the bottom of the broken limb sent out 4-5 new shoots that are already bigger than the original limb.

Thanks for the advise skeeterbug. The break is above the graft. Do you think I should plant it, or leave it in the pot while it tries to heal?

If your plans are to put it in the ground, by all means, go ahead. The roots will be able to spread out more and your tree will grow faster.

It is up to you, but if the tree sends up several shoots from below the break, you may want to select one and let it grow to about 2 ft before topping it to stimulate branching.
