I bought this bonsai because i know i got a great deal on it. I think its a type of ficus and its 48 yrs. old. For 40 dollars i bought it and would figure it out later. The man i bought it from did not know either, what a salesmen. So, if any one can help me please i hate not knowing all my plants!
Not Port Jackson Fig (F. rubiginosa), which is a local native for me and I see it at all sizes. I agree with Saltcedar, it's F. microcarpa.
Now that I think of it, how common would an Australian native tree like Port Jackson Fig be in Wisonson? Probably is microcarpa...
Not me! More likely 4.8 years. And that's being generous! A plant like this could be produced in 2 or 3 years, easily.
Yeah this looks like F microcarpa. Most nurseries here in the Philippines call this ficus nana. my ficus microcarpa "green Island" has rounded leaves, by the way.
The F. Rubignosa that I had was 10 years old at about half the size, but then again I didn't ever look after it and it died. 48 yrs? not likely
