Hi, I was wondering if someone could help, and plenty of others I know, identify this beautiful tree that lines Government Street in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. I'm thinking it's possibly evergreen Thanks ahead of time!

I got an email back from the City of Victoria and indeed they are Carpinus betulus 'Fastigiata', the "Pyramidal European Hornbeam". They were planted in 1974. Thanks for the help everybody!
