    Hello all,

I am new to this forum and I have been in a long hard search to help my mother identify a tree she planted a few years back. She ordered the tree out of a magazine to provide a little more cover in front of her garden. She threw away the paperwork on accident that identified the tree. She thinks that maybe she also got the wrong item and planted it anyways.

It is a tropical looking plant that has become acclimated to the Minnesota area.

I've posted a link below to a story written by the local newspaper. The whole town is wondering what this "Mystery Tree" is.

Any help would be very greatly appreciated by us all. Thanks in advance.

Paulownia tomentosa (AKA Empress Tree, Princess Tree, Foxglove Tree)...commonly offered via mail order as the 'world's fastest growing tree' (it's not). Type the name into the search function on this forum, and you'll find a wealth of information.
