    Hello,

I am new to gardening and I planted some Beet seeds and I sadly have only one beet plant growing, surrounded by another plant that I'm not sure what it is. I don't see it growing anywhere around the area other than the bed that I prepared for the beets. I mixed miracle grow soil with the regular soil and planted only beets. Here is a picture of this plant that is growing in my garden bed. Does anyone know what this might be?

    Thank You

    Possibly a pigweed (Amaranthus sp.).

    Thank You Ron,

I think you are correct. It sure does look like pigweed.
