I have a large tree with these leaves in my new backyard and was looking to confirm the type of tree. Looks like a type of maple to me, but I am not very knowledgable.

Here's a top of leaf and bottom of leaf scan.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks in advance, Nick.

The leaf stem structure shows it is not a maple. I'm not sure what it is though, possibly a hibiscus of some sort.

Here's a small branch with leaves, a picture of the trunk and of the foliage.

The bark looks almost like and oak tree which is why I'm puzzled in part.

My camera quality is poor though, as I was using my cellphone camera. Can't fit everything on a flat scanner unfortunately.
