Please can someone help identify this red leaf and stem plant? its curently about a metre tall, came out of a box of shake and rake seed shaker. Is the plant bad or good?
Amaranthus of some sort. The tender young leaves are edible (like spinach) so you can eat it; otherwise, some people grow it as a bedding plant for the purple foliage.
