Identification: help identify this plant.

    They say the 3rd time is a charm. I've finally been able to attrach the photo(I hope). the plant is flat with deep purple flowers on the side and they seem to cycle old to new in about 7 days.

    It is a Tillandsia lindenii or cyanea.

    It definitely is a bromeliad, probably Tillandsia cyanea, although it is possibly in the genus Vriesea. Joe

    Thank you for the info and the url with the information and picture. Your right if the photo depicting the plant is anything close to what the plant should look like, I agree it needs more light. It really is a beautiful and unusual plant. Thanks again
