I hope you will be able to shed some light on a house plant that is an off spring that was in my grandmother’s home in Philadelphia in the early 40’s.
I took the plant to a nursery this morning and they said it was a species called dracaena. Unfortunately there are many types of dracaena. None of the pictures that I can find on any web site that I tried have this plants picture.

I have attached some pictures of the plant that is 20 to 30 years old.

The serrated leaf margin and aerial roots seem more fitting to Pandanus than Dracaena.

    Thank you for the information.
I was able to locate a picture on the University of Wisconsin-Madison's web site. The full name they had was Pandanus Veitchi- Veitch Screw Pine (Pandanaceae)
