Hello all this looks like a very useful and friendly site, i hope some can help me identify this Bonsai tree please. I bought it from a local supermarket very cheap but there were no care instructions with the tree or any identification of the tree type or species. I would be most grateful for any help...Thank you

Many thanks Lorax, and L plant for your excellent, and prompt response to my question. I looked at the site with details on the care of the tree, and it is most helpful, i am subscribing to it. Initially when i bought the tree i thought it may be a miniature mangrove because of the trunk, the fact that it's a relative of the Strange "Banyan" tree of Madagascar never entered my head however i am very pleased it is.
