Hello this forum was suggested to me but I do not live in the Pacific NW so hopefully you can still help! Im in Zone 5a Wisconsin. This plant in the attached image is growing in front of my house, in full sun. We just moved to this home which was vacant for 3 years. This plant is taking up about 3/4 of the entire flower bed, the neighbors werent sure what it was, one thought maybe Black eyed susan, my mom thinks maybe Obedient, its about 3 ft high now and still no bloom. Hoping its not some horrible invasive weed...

Reminds me of obedient plant also. Wait for it to bloom, see what you think of it then.

Looks a lot like Obedient Plant, Physostegia sp. Dig down and examine a chunk of root - is it running horizontally and rooted along the bottom? This guy can be quite a spreader, but generally reasonably easy to keep under control by pulling/digging out shoots at edge of clump. Blooms quite late in the season - typically later in the summer and into autumn - so may not see bloom for quite some time. Rather a pretty thing in a wildflowery way, good for late color. Mauve purple or white, spikes of small, rather snapdragon-like flowers.
