Good day, I have these trees in my garden in Ghana. The locals call them "weeping willows" and they have the "male willow", with outstreched arms (branches) as well as the "female willow" which has branches that droop downwards. We tend to have strange names for things here. Could someone knowledgable in tropical plants please help me identify this tree. Could it be a type of ficus? Thank you for any helpful pointers.
Looks rather like Polyalthia longifolia in family Annonaceae, widely planted as an avenue tree in the tropics.
Thank you SO very much. I have looked up the name and it is my tree alright :-) Have a good day, Marita
