Identification: Help identify my new house plant please!

    I recently purchased a house plant from Lowe's and need to know what it is in order to care for it properly. It has been losing leaves rapidly... HELP!!!

    From where is it losing leaves? Bottom or top? Is the plant too dry or wet, or could the cause be temperature or light-related? Some kind of bug problem? ---Your schefflera looks pretty good in the pix.
