Please help me identify this flower. It's stem is that of a carnation but the flower part I've never seen before. The blooms on top are individual. I planted some seeds last year put this flower never came up until now. It's very pretty and I've never seen it before here in the southwest.
I know that there are strong feeling out there about common names but I will always think of this plant as Sweet William, a much beloved English cottage garden flower. Margaret
