I have 2 plants that I need help with. I don't know what they are or how to best care for them. One is obviously dying.

The first looks like Alocasia gigantea - it is in far too small a pot for it to be even remotely happy, and I'd wager that the soil is also impacting the roots. I'd pot up into something about 3 times bigger than the current pot, into a mixture of orchid medium, perlite, coir, and a dash of soil and active charcoal (water should run through the soils freely).

The second plant (third photo) reminds me strongly of the Papayas and their relatives (Vasconcella), but could also be something in the Araliaceae - an Oreopanax, perhaps. It looks pretty healthy, regardless of what it is - and I'm sure that somebody who knows will be along.

The second plant (third photo) is Fatsia japonica (Araliaceae). It is native to southern Japan.
