Identification: help identify a small pink houseplant

    a friend bought this pretty plant, but forgot to ask what its name was, and since she doesn't speak german, it wouldn't have been much help either ;) please help me find it out for her, that would make her very happy, resp. me too ;) thank you in advance.

    Looks like a beautiful little begonia to me.
    Germany has a number of well-known begonia breeders with hundreds of varieties .

    It is a Fittonia ( may be hybrid) of Acanthaceae family.

    nandan kalbag, thank you for the info. greengoose, do you not agree? the pic you attached looks to me exactly like the plant in question ;)

    thanks guys, now i'll be looking into hints for better growing.

    I am only pointing out that your images do not show the leaf vains that are so prominent with Fittonia . But you have the plant before you so you can view it from different angles in differing light.

    I do agree that it is likely a Fittonia because of the growth habit.
