I would really appreciate some input regarding this plant I have recently obtained. It would be great if someone could identify it for me, thanks! It has balls on it that resemble turnips. This is my first time here so i will try to add a pic.

Several of the species in this family have very swollen leaf bases like this, possibly to protect the young shoots when they are starting their growth. * Compare here: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Angelica_sylvestris Note though that there are some similar related species which are poisonous, so don't eat this one until the identification is better confirmed!
