Help!! I would like to know what this plant is, if its a weed, or an actual plant!

    I would really appreciate some input regarding this plant I have recently obtained. It would be great if someone could identify it for me, thanks! It has balls on it that resemble turnips. This is my first time here so i will try to add a pic.

    You're doing fine, the balls look like some kind of abnormal growth. Interesting.

    thanks, abnormal growth, thats odd, is it a weed or a plant?

    It is a species in the family Apiaceae, probably Angelica*. Several of the species in this family have very swollen leaf bases like this, possibly to protect the young shoots when they are starting their growth.

    Note though that there are some similar related species which are poisonous, so don't eat this one until the identification is better confirmed!
