I recently purchased a cacti that only had a label saying 'Opuntia' and have tried various sites to try and identify it but with no luck.

    Can anyone help?

I dont know the exact type - it looks as though someone has named it already - you lucked out if your planning on using that to graft small globular cacti onto it,...
it works well for many other than globular, but is especially good stock for lophophora and astrophytum, etc... I have been looking for some near me but no luck so far..
    Cheers

I have had some trouble finding any info on this cacti.
Is it know by another name?

    Thanks

Try "Prickly Pear" although that might just be an Aussie name

Ed - prickly pears are Opuntia ficus-indica.
