My gladiolas broke dormancy and put out roots about 1/2 inch long. They are in peat moss in freezer bags. They were in my cold room at 8C. I moved them to a fridge which I thought was at 4C however the peat is now hard (but not solid) and there are ice crystals in the bags. Should I warm them gradually, warm them quickly on a heat register? Are they history? All I've done so far is turn the fridge down one number. Thanks in advance. Les
