Help! Are these dangerous to eat???

The daycare that my son attends called me and said that he had eaten a lot of these berries. They "said" it was a tree. Not sure.

Can anyone identify this. Is it toxic?

Could be Sugarberry Celtis laevigata. If it is, that's edible. Compare here:
