Hi, this plant is one of the last from my Grandpa’s funeral. I is growing but is in bad shape. Can I cut it down and re-root? What does everyone suggest? It is the one tied up as there is a long bare trunk then foliage at the top.
Looks like Chamaedorea elegans, Parlour Palm. It can be propagated by air layering. Have a look at the following thread: Palm help!!!!!!. Air layer using the procedure put forth for monocots.
