We call it the "Buzzing" bush because it attracts fireflies, houseflies, small bees and other flies so much that the buzzing can get quite loud. It's a rather large bush that has grown as high as the house until we pruned it back. It grows fast and rather likes to be pruned! Produces these waxy green flowers in June and then later this summer they turn into dry red "berries". Plant is very hardy and stays green all year. Any suggestions as to what it may be is helpful! Thanks!

Flowers remind me of Euonymus.... but that is a big shrub/tree.

Well, I did a lot of googling on Euonymus and also the euonymus fortunei and none of the images I found resembled my bush. I know there are probably 1,000 varieties. I did happen to see a few varieties that I wouldn't mind having around the yard! :)

Definitely a euonymus. Clip a sprig and take it to some nurseries, botanical gardens or other collections to see which one it resembles.

Thank you all! I will have to do what Ron B. suggested and take a limb in. We'll be pruning it waaaay back again this fall, so I'll have plenty!
