I hope I'm not posting my hello in the wrong place. I just joined and this place looks interesting.

How can I add my own avatar to my settings? Thanks in advance!

I have just discovered this part of the site. Sometimes I am reeeeel slow. Just also wanted to say hello and I am really enjoing the information I am getting. Interesting to see Australia and it's plants mentioned quiet often. We have some really beautiful things and they are very suited to the hot dry areas. We have had to change a lot of gardening practices in the last few years because of the severe water shortage and drought conditions. They say we have just come out of an "El Ninio " period. Let's hope they are right. Global warming is really starting to rear its head. Starting to think if anything is going to happen to counter it it may well have to be at the grass roots. Our current government is still dragging its feet. We have not signed the Kyoto agreement.

    Happy gardening.
