We have just purchased a new ginger plant and wonder if anyone has had this plant and could give me some information on its care. We have Hedychium coccineum 'Tara' and it grew vary well and produced flowers last Sept. Will give it the same care, just want to see if this ginger 'Tahitian Flame' requires different care. Do the varigated varieties need the same light requirements? Also the leaves seem quite thin and not as rigid as 'Tara'. Does this change a s the plant matures?
