Bought one of these recently at the Sunshine Coast Botanical Garden yard sale. I was told that it was hardy here. Any information re. cultivation would be very welcome. Many thanks.
Phoenix Perennials sells this plant locally, and also provides a small amount of cultural information.
Thanks for the info Daniel. I ended up planting it by the grape pergola and watered it regularly (when nature did not do it for me) and it seems pretty happy with all three sections flowering. Was a bit disappointed that there was no scent with the flowers and that the bees etc. ignored it. Off topic; have you seen the new botanical garden site in West Sechelt yet? Margaret
No, but I plan to see it in early November. I am speaking to the Sunshine Coast Natural History Society on Nov. 7 and also staying in the area for the weekend, so I'll have an opportunity then.
