Hedge or shrub - white flowers

    Having difficulty indentifying this shub, which is growing in another hedge.
    It has 4 petals and hangs in bunches from the plant stems.

    Looks like wintercreeper (Euonymus fortunei). Here we see quite a few old, partly reverted 'Silver Queen' with branches bearing leaves like your specimen--although not usually so long relative to their width. If not an evergreen with leathery, persistent leaves then one of the deciduous species instead. As a group these are called spindles.

    Thank You Ron,

    Still can't find another example anywhere of the flowers.
    Forgot to mention, the whole bush/hedge was atracting thousands of flys and yellow jackets(?) this week, making life in the garden a nightmare.

    For comparison's sake, here's a recent BPotD of Euonymus carnosus - certainly a different species from yours, but you can see the resemblance in the flowers.
