I have a really old Hazelnut tree. How would I prune it produce more nuts?

Best is to prune out any squirrels, and any competing vegetation that might be shading it too much. That apart, it shouldn't need any pruning - the larger the crown, the more fruit it will be able to produce.

Cross-pollination required by these, if tree in good condition but isolated that may be your problem.
