I have a friend that lives in Hawaii and she sent me a plant clipping but didn't know what it was she just thought it was very pretty. I was wondering if you could help I identify it. I have included a photo of it also it has very small black seeds that are pear shaped and approximately 1 mm in length at its longest point. the leafs do have a very fine hariy texture.

I think it is "Love-lies-bleeding" (Amaranthus caudatus)

I am thinking its some kinda hybrid pigweed it looks very similar, but the pig weed is native to the greater plains and isn't quite as colorful.

Bueno, Amaranth it is. Pigweed is one of the common names for the most common cultivar, and yours is perhaps not that one, but definitely it is an Amaranth.
