We were sent a plant from our daughter through a floral service. They call it a "money tree" and included info on how to care for a bonsai. This doesn't look anything like a bonsai to us!! It reminds me of a schefflera that I once owned. Could anyone identify this so we will know how to care for it? Thanks!!

    the above id is correct.

'bonsai' is a form/type and/or technique of gardening. the goal is symmetry and small size - which is gained by pruning both the leaves/branches as well as the roots. wire is used to shape the branches and so is twining multiple trunks or branches.

almost any plant can be 'bonsai'.
