Identification: Have no clue what these plants might be.....

    I have a couple plants that I have no clue what they are and was wondering if someone could please help me identify them and if they would be annuals or perennials.

    One of the plants look like a bunch of grass shoots coming up...

    #1 reminds me of African Violets or Gloxinia; though it's tough to tell without flowers.

    #2 is quite possibly a baby palm tree of some sort; difficult to tell which one until it matures....

    #2 is likely cataractarum, chamaedorea, or areca sp. Some kind of palm, but you won't really be able to tell for certain for a few more years...

    1.Saintpaulia, common name African Violet.

    1 is african violet. 2 is parlor palm.
