    Hi, folks!
I'm planning to harvest the seeds of my purple pepper plant (try saying that 3 times fast!) and need to know how to do it to preserve viability, if they have any. The berries are dark purple, nearly black, and round, about the size of a small pea. The tag merely says "ornamental pepper," but does mention it is hardy down to 30 degrees F. I find its purple foliage very attractive, and will be willing to share, if it works.
    Advice, please?

As long as the peppers are ripe, they should produce viable seeds. Just remove the seeds and dry them at room temperature. When thoroughly dry store them in the refrigerator until you want to plant them.
