Can someone tell me how long it takes before Halesia monticola propagated by seed will start to flower? I'm a patient gardener but if it takes more than 15 years I think I will have to pass on this one (although its very beautifull).

    Thanks in advance.

Not been able to find a cited age, but one book says they start flowering 'when young', so I doubt you'd have to wait 15 years. I'd guess maybe 5-10 years.

Some of mine started flowering @ the ripe young age of 3 but some that are 5 yrs haven't so I presume there shall be much variance within this group . Happy Growing !!
